Through Gränna towards Ödeshög runs the old main road. A Tourist Route and known as one of the country's most scenic road sectors. County road 133 winds east past the lakes Bunn and Ören, through the village Örserum and towards the town of Tranås. Along these roads you find a lot of interesting excursion objects.
At Gränna glassworks, at the south end of the Tourist Route, you find traditional glass art as well as young Swedish glass design. The surrounding countryside's many craftsmen are represented in a joint exhibition and sale down in Gränna harbour.
North of Gränna, below the famous Brahehus, lies Uppgränna. From down here you can take the footpath up the mountain and enjoy the view.
Gränna is the starting point of two excellent hiking paths through scenery that reminds of John Bauer's troll forest. Between Gränna and Tranås runs the Holavedspath and between Gränna and Huskvarna you find the John Bauer path. Both paths offers hiking through a varied countryside full of wild life and beautiful scenery.
Just east of Gränna you find the Tegnér Tower, a belvedere with a view for miles across the lakes Bunn and Ören with their small islands and a channel. You can get closer to this scenery by sightseeing boat or by renting a canoe and take on the wilderness.
The village Örserum with a renowned spa and shallow sandy beaches, fishing and hiking. Here you find the Swedish summer in serene tranquillity.
